Day 1
Arrival & Local Exploration
Morning:Arrive in Kodaikanal – Depending on your mode of travel, you’ll either arrive by bus, car, or train. Check into your hotel or homestay and freshen up.Kodaikanal Lake – Start your day with a visit to Kodaikanal Lake, a star-shaped lake that’s the heart of the town. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the lake (rowboat or pedal boat) for some beautiful views of the surrounding hills.
Day 2
Nature, Waterfalls & Scenic Views
Lunch: 3. Lunch at a Local Café – After a morning full of exploration, relax with lunch at a café or restaurant in the town.Afternoon: 4. Pine Forest – Visit the Pine Forest, which is located near Kodaikanal Lake. The tall pine trees create an almost mystical atmosphere, especially when shrouded in mist. It’s perfect for a leisurely walk and some memorable photos. 5. Dolphin’s Nose – A short drive from Kodaikanal town will take you to Dolphin’s Nose, a viewpoint offering stunning views of the valleys, cliffs, and the rolling hills of Western Ghats. It's a great place for a short trek and photography.
Day 3
Relaxation, Shopping & Departure
Morning:Morning Trek or Nature Walk – If you're up for it, take a light trek or nature walk around the scenic spots of Kodaikanal, such as Kurinji Andavar Temple or Kodaikanal Pine Forest. Alternatively, you can simply enjoy the morning sun at your accommodation.Visit Kurinji Andavar Temple – This beautiful temple offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan, and its surrounding area is peaceful and perfect for a serene start to your day.
