Scotland Tour Package from Kerala

Scotland the way our founder came to know it — Glasgow and Edinburgh, then the wild Highlands of Skye, Glencoe and Loch Ness, at a pace that lets a place stay with you.

The journey

Scotland isn't a country our founder Sajin Salim visited — it's one he lived in. He arrived in Glasgow as a student and got to know Scotland slowly: through train journeys, rainy walks, weekend drives and long conversations, over more than two decades. So when we design a Scottish journey, we don't just line up Edinburgh, a few castles and the Highlands. We build in the Scotland that stays with you. You will have Glasgow — the real, friendly, music-filled city of the West End and Ashton Lane, not just a stop on the way north. You will have Edinburgh's Old Town, and the quieter corners just beyond it. And then Scotland turns wild: Glencoe, Loch Ness, the Isle of Skye and the Cairngorms, taken at a pace that lets you stop when the landscape makes you stop. We leave room for the things that don't appear under 'top things to do' — a distillery in Speyside, a meal that surprises you, a night somewhere with nothing between you and the sea. Tell us your season, and we will shape it — Scotland in winter is a different, quieter, more dramatic country altogether.

Glasgow Edinburgh Glencoe Isle of Skye Loch Ness Speyside

What makes it special

Glasgow, properly

Not a drive-through. The West End, Ashton Lane and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh trail — the friendly, cultured city our founder actually lived in.

Isle of Skye

The Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing, the Fairy Pools and Portree — Scotland at its most cinematic.

Glencoe & Loch Ness

The dramatic glen and the famous loch, on the slow road north rather than a rushed dash.

Speyside whisky

A distillery visit for the landscape, history and people behind the bottle — no expertise required.

Stay somewhere unusual

Optional castle, country-house or even lighthouse-keeper's cottage stays, on request.

A winter option

Quieter Highlands, fireside evenings and dramatic light — a very different European winter holiday.

Day by day

A guide to the rhythm — every day flexes to your pace.

Day 1

Day 1 — Arrive Glasgow

Fly from Kerala to Glasgow. Settle into the West End, and if there is energy left, an easy first evening around Ashton Lane.

Day 2

Day 2 — Glasgow city

The city our founder knows best. The Mackintosh trail (House for an Art Lover, the Glasgow School of Art area), the museums, the West End and its pubs. Glasgow rewards walking more than a checklist.

Day 3

Day 3 — Glasgow to Glencoe via Loch Lomond

Drive north into the Highlands along Loch Lomond, into the dramatic sweep of Glencoe. Stop where the landscape makes you stop. Overnight in the Highlands.

Day 4

Day 4 — Glencoe to the Isle of Skye

The Road to the Isles — Glenfinnan viaduct, Fort William and the crossing to Skye. Overnight on the island.

Day 5

Day 5 — Isle of Skye

A full day on Skye: the Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing, the Fairy Pools and the harbour town of Portree.

Day 6

Day 6 — Skye to Loch Ness & Speyside

Drive east to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, then into Speyside for a distillery visit. Overnight in the Cairngorms/Speyside area.

Day 7

Day 7 — South to Edinburgh

Through the Cairngorms and down to Edinburgh. An evening in the Old Town — stone streets, hidden closes and the castle above.

Day 8

Day 8 — Edinburgh, fly home

Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and the quieter corners just off it, then transfer to the airport for the flight home.

Good to know

When is the best time to visit Scotland?

May to September gives the longest days and mildest weather. But winter has its own magic — quieter Highlands, dramatic light and fireside evenings. Tell us your season and we shape the trip around it.

Do I need a UK visa?

Yes, Indian passport holders need a UK Standard Visitor visa. Apply well ahead — we help with the documentation and itinerary letter. Plan 3–4 weeks of lead time.

Is this trip a lot of driving?

The Highlands are best seen by road, so there are scenic driving days — that is part of the experience. We build in stops and keep the pace comfortable rather than rushed.

Can we add the unusual stays?

Yes. Lighthouse-keeper cottages, castles and country houses can be built in on request, subject to availability. Every Lumiere trip is private and tailor-made.
